Synedi.ai (the "Service") is operated by Capitol Labs Consulting LLC ("we," "us"), a Maryland limited liability company. These Terms govern your use of the Service, including the free and paid tiers. You accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy by clicking to agree when you create an account or subscribe, and by using the Service. Our Refund & Cancellation Policy is incorporated by reference.
We may update these Terms. For material changes we will provide notice, and your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
You must be 18 or older (or the age of majority where you live). Accounts are for professional use, and registration may require a valid professional email address and email verification. You are responsible for your account credentials and any activity under your account, and for any API keys issued to you. One account per user.
Access is limited to 3 concurrent devices or sessions; a new login beyond that limit signs out the oldest session. Systematic account or credential sharing is a violation of these Terms.
We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own purposes. You may quote and cite Synedi content — transcripts and summaries — for journalism, research, and policy work, including in published works, with attribution to Synedi.
You may not: scrape the Service at scale or perform bulk extraction to rebuild a competing product (full-corpus access is query-only; bulk access requires a separate license); use the Service to train AI models that compete with Synedi; reverse-engineer the speaker-attribution system; submit or distribute fabricated content attributed to Synedi; harass or threaten anyone; or use the Service unlawfully. Please report security issues to us rather than probing the Service.
Current plans, prices, and features are shown at synedi.ai/pricing and are incorporated by reference. Plans include one-time per-hearing purchases and monthly subscriptions, some offered with prepaid multi-month terms. We may introduce, change, or discontinue plans or prices with notice; prepaid terms are honored through the period you paid for.
Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy. For subscriptions that include current-week transcripts, if transcripts for the hearings you follow are running late and you're unhappy with the service, you may request a pro-rated credit or refund as described in that policy. Refunds and credits are provided on request, not automatically.
We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these Terms (immediately for material breach), or for convenience with notice (for example, if we discontinue the Service), in which case we will pro-rate a refund of any prepaid, unused period.
Synedi transcripts and summaries are produced using AI and reviewed by our team. We strive to provide accurate, professionally reliable transcripts. They are not the official record — the official record is maintained by the U.S. Congress and the Government Publishing Office — and, like any transcript, they may contain errors, so for consequential uses you should verify against the official source. AI-generated elements, such as summaries and speaker attribution, are labeled, and we show indicators where attribution is uncertain. You are responsible for how you use Synedi content, and we are not liable for decisions you make in reliance on it.
The public hearing record remains public and is owned by no one. Synedi's structured transcripts, speaker attribution, summaries, topic tags, software, and design are our property and are protected by law; your rights to use them are set out in Section 3. Feedback you submit may be used to improve the Service without obligation to you.
"Capitol Labs," "Capitol Labs Consulting LLC," "Synedi," and "Synedi.ai," and all trademarks, service marks, and logos associated with them, are owned by Capitol Labs Consulting LLC. These names and marks may not be used for any commercial purpose without our express written consent.
If we offer a referral program, its current terms are published with the program. Referral credits are earned only for verified, approved, and active referrals, are subject to a stated cap, and may be reversed if a referred purchase is refunded, charged back, cancelled before it qualifies, or found to violate the program rules (such as self-referral or fraud).
The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law, and we do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. If you experience a problem with the Service, we will use reasonable efforts to address it, but we do not guarantee that any particular issue can or will be resolved. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
If you have a concern, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it informally. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be handled as provided by the governing law and venue below.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Maryland, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, with exclusive venue in Maryland.
We may update these Terms at any time, and from time to time. We will post changes here with a new effective date and, for material changes, provide additional notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and Refund & Cancellation Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service. If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. We may assign these Terms in connection with a sale or transfer of the business; you may not assign them without our consent. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, dispute resolution, and governing law — survive.
